The fatal accident was reported at about 8:40 a.m. July 18, on FM-317, a few miles northeast of the city of Chandler.
According to preliminary reports, 51-year-old Kerry Wayland Hicks, of Lindale, was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle westbound on the roadway approaching a sweeping curve to the right, while at the same time, 30-year-old KC Scott Allen, of Itasca, was driving a 2012 Ford F-150 eastbound approaching the curve from the opposite direction.
