Judith Cooper and William Cooper Killed in Comanche County Crash on SH 16

Comanche County, Texas (July 2, 2018) – Two people were killed in a crash between a vehicle and an 18-wheeler on Friday afternoon in Comanche County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash happened at around 12:30 p.m. June 29, on SH 16 north of De Leon.
DPS said Judith Ann Cooper, 78, and William Otis Cooper, 88, both of De Leon, were traveling in a vehicle that attempted to overtake the second vehicle and ended up colliding with an oncoming 18-wheeler.
The Coopers were pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
