2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on University Drive in College Station
College Station, California (June 14, 2018) – A driver and passenger were injured in a major accident in College Station Wednesday afternoon, according to a College Station Police Department report.
The collision happened at around 3:53 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at the intersection of University Drive East and Nimitz Street.
As per the report, a blue Ford Escape was heading northbound on Nimitz Street approaching University Drive while a white Mazda sedan was traveling eastbound on University Drive in the inside lane.
The Ford Escape then tried to turn westbound from Nimitz Street onto University and was hit on the driver’s side by the Mazda sedan.
The force of the impact caused the Ford Escape to flip onto the passenger side and was pushed into the front bumper of a white GMC SUV that was heading westbound in the inside lane of University Drive.
Both the driver and passenger of the Ford Escape were taken to a hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
Westbound and eastbound lanes of University Drive were temporarily shut down as authorities investigated. The vehicles were towed away from the scene.
The driver of the blue Ford Escape was cited for failure to yield right of way.
The crash remains under investigation.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes. No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies. While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
