Man Struck and Injured by 18-Wheeler on U.S. 281 in Falfurrias, June 8
Falfurrias, Texas (June 12, 2018) – A man was rushed to a hospital after being struck by an 18-wheeler on Friday in Falfurrias, according to the authorities.
The accident happened on U.S. 281 near the Falfurrias Border Patrol checkpoint on Friday, June 8.
The authorities said the victim, identified as a man in his 30s, was hit by an 18-wheeler that may have been traveling at more than 60 mph.
Halo-Flight airlifted the victim to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline with serious injuries.
The authorities are investigating the incident.
