One Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 277 in Taylor County

Taylor County, Texas (June 5, 2018) – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Monday afternoon in Taylor County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal crash took place at about 2:20 p.m. June 4, on Highway 277 approximately 10 miles south of Abilene.
DPS said a man was driving a black Nissan southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 277 when he collided head-on with an oncoming pickup.
The impact caused the pickup to roll over and the Nissan to catch fire.
The driver of the Nissan died in the crash.
Two people riding in the pickup were taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
