One Person Killed in Houston Motorcycle Accident on the North Freeway

Houston, Texas (February 19, 2018) – A motorcyclist was fatally injured in an early Monday morning crash involving a pickup truck in Houston, according to HPD.
The crash was reported before 3 a.m. on Interstate 45 near Parker Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcyclist and pickup truck driver were racing when the two collided, and the impact caused the pickup to roll over.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was injured.
All southbound lanes of Interstate 45 were closed down as officials worked to clear the scene.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
