Two Seriously Injured After Car Crashes into Planet Fitness at University and W. County Road in Odessa; Jael Hernandez Arrested
Odessa, Texas (June 7, 2020) – According to a local news source, two people were seriously injured Friday night after an intoxicated driver crashed into a gym in Odessa.
The crash occurred on Friday, June 5, at Planet Fitness in the area of University and W. County Road.
According to the report, Iliana Jimenez, 24, was driving a Dodge Journey eastbound on San Andres Drive when she left the roadway and crashed into the back of the Planet Fitness.
Two customers inside the gym were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Jiménez and her passenger Jael Hernandez, 25, were uninjured in the crash.
Jimenez was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash and was taken to the ECLEC. She has been charged with two counts of intoxication assault causing serious injury. Her bond was set at $15,000 for each count.
