Man Dies in Corpus Christi Motorcycle Crash at Staples Street and Texan Trail

Corpus Christi, Texas (February 5, 2018) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle Saturday evening has been identified as 24-year-old Justin Garcia, according to a police report.
The deadly collision took place on Saturday, February 3, at Staples Street and Texan Trail.
According to the police report, Garcia failed to yield the right-of-way when turning onto Staples Street when he was hit by the vehicle.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries where he later died while undergoing treatment. The driver of the vehicle fled the accident scene.
Garcia was reportedly not wearing a helmet when the accident happened.
An investigation to locate the hit-and-run driver is ongoing.
