16-Year-Old Injured in Belton Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 1670 and Sherwood Boulevard

Belton, Texas (January 17, 2020) – A 16-year-old was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Belton, according to the DPS.

The crash happened at about 8:00 a.m. January 16, at the intersection of FM 1670 and Sherwood Boulevard, near Stillhouse Hollow Lake.

DPS said the teen was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup when they failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and pulled into the path of a 2001 tow truck, resulting in a collision.

The teenager was taken to Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center in Temple for treatment.

The tow truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
