One Killed and Another Injured in U.S. 54 Car Crash in Central El Paso

El Paso, Texas (January 8, 2018) – Two cars collided on Sunday afternoon killing one person and sending another to a hospital in Central El Paso.
According to a police report, the accident took place shortly after 12:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6 on U.S. 54 at the Pershing Drive exit.
A white pickup truck and a small black car were involved in the deadly collision in the northbound lanes of U.S. 54, police said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another person was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes of U.S. 54 were blocked for approximately six hours as the scene was examined and cleared.
The El Paso Police Department is looking into the accident to determine its cause.
