Corpus Christi Mother Killed and 2 Children Critically Injured in Saratoga Boulevard Crash

Corpus Christi, Texas (December 23, 2017) – A Corpus Christi mother was killed and two young children critically injured following a collision with a suspected DWI in Corpus Christi early Saturday morning, police said.
The deadly crash took place at about 3:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, along Saratoga Boulevard between Weber and Kostoryz.
According to a police report, a vehicle, driven by a 25-year-old driver, was headed eastbound on Saratoga when it clipped one vehicle and rear-ended another car pushing that car into the path of oncoming traffic it was hit by another car.
Police said that the Corpus Christi mother, who was reported to between ages 30 to 40, was declared dead at the accident scene.
A report said an officer arrived at the scene and found one person removed from a vehicle and a 10-year-old boy trapped inside a car.
The boy and a 14-year-old girl were transported to Driscoll Children’s Hospital in critical condition, medics said.
The diver of the first vehicle that initiated the crash was arrested and ticketed for intoxication manslaughter, two charges of intoxication assault and accident involving injury or death, Corpus Christi police said.
The deadly crash remained under investigation.
