Michael Bell Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Navasota
Navasota, Texas (December 19, 2017) – One man was hit and run fatally in Navasota Monday morning, according to Department of Public Safety.
The crash happened around 10:22 a.m. Monday, December 18, in the improved grassy shoulder of State Highway 105, east of Navasota.
DPS said, an initial report indicated at about 5 a.m., Michael Bell was walking west on the improved shoulder when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver left the crash scene without reporting the incident to the authorities.
As per the report, Bell was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Lester Underwood at 11:07 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation and authorities have asked anyone with any information regarding the crash the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office at 936-873-2151.
