Bicyclist Dies in Houston Crash on Belvedere

Houston, Texas (August 14, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident in Houston, police said.

The tragic crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 in the 4800 block of Belvedere.

First responders found the victim’s body lying on the roadway near the damaged bicycle. The name of the bicyclist has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

It was immediately unclear whether the crash was a hit-and-run.

No further details were immediately disclosed.

The accident remains under investigation.
