Jessica Ann Racheal ID’d as 31-Year-Old Woman Killed in Maud Pedestrian Crash near U.S. Highway 67 and Texas Highway 8

Maud, Texas (August 6, 2019) – The woman who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Tuesday morning in Maud has been identified as Jessica Ann Racheal, 31, according to the DPS.

The crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. near U.S. Highway 67 and Texas Highway 8.

DPS said Racheal was walking in the area when she was struck by a vehicle, whose driver fled the scene before the police arrived.

Racheal was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
