Kyle Deriso Killed in Sherman Pedestrian Crash on Texoma Highway

Sherman, Texas (May 22, 2019) – The name of the pedestrian who was fatally hit by an alleged drunk driver last Thursday night in Sherman has been released by the authorities.
40-year-old Kyle Deriso died in the collision that happened at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, on Texoma Highway.
Police said Deriso was attempting to cross the roadway when a vehicle driven by Melissa Thompson, 38, hit him.
Deriso sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thompson was arrested and charged with DUI. The investigation is ongoing.
