Man Killed in Katy Freeway Pedestrian Accident in Houston

Houston, Texas (February 28, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while trying to run across a freeway in Houston early Thursday morning.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred on the Katy Freeway near Voss Road.
Police said a man was driving a car on Voss Road at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, he crashed into the freeway barrier. He then got out of the car and tried to cross the freeway but an eastbound vehicle struck him.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved reportedly remained at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
