26-Year-Old Benjamin Arning Dies in Waco Pedestrian Accident on East Lake Shore Drive

Waco, Texas (February 13, 2019) – A 26-year-old man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in the area of Parkview Christian Academy in Waco on Tuesday night, police said.
The incident occurred at about 8:50 p.m. February 12 in the 1100 block of East Lake Shore Drive.
According to a preliminary investigation, Benjamin Arning, 26, was walking along the side of the road and on the white line when an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet Cruze struck him.
Arning was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Cruz remained at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
