Deane Mclean Killed and Javier Briones Injured after NW Houston Two-Vehicle Crash

Houston, Texas (September 19, 2017) – Deane Mclean was killed, and Javier Briones was injured on Saturday afternoon in a crash involving two cars, according to a police report.
The crash happened on FM 529 near the Blenheim Palace Lane intersection on Saturday, September 16, according to Harris County Sherriff’s office.
Mclean was driving a Chevrolet eastbound on FM 529 when she slowed down to a stop near the Blenheim Palace Lane intersection. Her car was struck head-on by a Dodge Ram driven by Javier Briones westbound on the lane, according to the sheriff’s report.
Mclean sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Deputies also reported that Briones tried to flee the scene but was apprehended by witnesses and was also taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
